— Registration period: January 1st thru December 31st annually —
ALL registrations must be completed online at: http://www.teamusa.org/USA-Boxing/Membership/Registration
This includes athletes, non- athletes and clubs (new and renewing).

Please note also that once you have completed your Membership Application on-line, you must print off the membership ID card, including a picture, and contact Michigan Association Registration Chair to receive a passbook. Ed Mosley (616)318-0731 or bromo106@aol.com

LOST PASSBOOK and REGISTRATION: If you have lost your passbook and/or registration, PLEASE DO NOT CREATE A NEW REGISTRATION NUMBER.  That only makes more confusion.  If you do not know your current registration number, please call the USABoxing office in Colorado.  They will assist you in recovering your registration number.

Starting with the membership year 2016, it is mandatory for all non-athletes to also take the "Safe Sport Training Course" to be registered.  This can be completed on-line at: http://www.teamusa.org/usa-boxing/safe-sport

All boxers must have an annual physical with the physical form attached to their passbook, and stating the boxer is "Fit to Box".  Physicals are valid for 12 months from date it was completed.

Effective October 1, 2018

When considering applying for a sanction, you must meet the requirements of USA Boxing (rule4, page 8 of national rule book). USA Boxing does NOT approve the sanction, but provides the online process for the application (https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Boxing/Features/2014/April/16/Introducing-How-To-Guides).

In addition to, the Michigan LBC requires a minimum of 21 days prior to the event, for applying. Before applying, you first must contact the chief of officials to confirm the date is available, and to obtain the name of the "official in charge" for the event. After the chief of officials has given you the okay to proceed, you must secure a registered USA Boxing physician for the event, and include the physician's name on the sanction application. Also, in the "event info" tab under the sanction application web page, under "description", include the times for weigh ins, physicals, and show time. DO NOT apply for a sanction without first contacting the chief of officials, and expect the sanction will be approved.
